While I was in Iceland last August for Stefan and Steffi's Iceland elopement in Thingvellir National Park last August, I posted on Instagram and Autumn reached out saying that she and Andrew were about to board a flight from Fargo to Reykjavik that very afternoon. We found out we were going to be in the same area of Iceland over the same three days that I was there - so insane that we both ended up close to Reykjavik the same week! I was thrilled to see her again.

Autumn is a talented wedding photographer out of Fargo and she and Andrew are frequent globe trekkers, people after my own heart. I admire them so much - they've been to some of the most remote and wild places on the planet together. We met up close to Selfoss and drove to the lava fields about an hour outside of the Reykjavik as the sky turned to sunset. We had an incredible time on the lava fields together, even though the temperatures were dropping rapidly as the sun went down. We probably only shot for about 20-30 minutes before it became dangerously cold, but you can see the connection that she and Andrew have even during that short time. They're incredible people and I'm so fortunate to have photographed them together doing what they love, in Iceland.

Much love to you two - stay in touch! (And come to Nashville soon, ok? <3)
