"Souls shining, they turned their faces to the sun and continued onward."
Transition and travel were the words stamped over 2015. Along the way some amazing things happened and 27 weddings later, I can't believe the season is drawing to a close. States traveled, new earth of countries pressed down and even home changed. I'm thrilled to be now be living and working in Nashville but I'm also just as glad to be coming back to the Midwest for a number of weddings in 2016. Next year looks different - my vision and goals are shifting, adapting to a deeper philosophy that's a lot bigger than photography or destination weddings at the end of the day. (More on this soon!)
The below images are both ones I'm proud of and marks of a journey I'm still fighting to stay steady on the road. It's easy to say that I love what I do, but this year it's like things started to click and I am truly grateful for the people who let me know their lives, their moments, their vulnerability, their circles. To be trusted is the highest compliment, the most cherished gift. I don't take that lightly - so thank you, thank you, thank you. You know who you are and I couldn't be more grateful.
All of the below images were shot on a Canon 6D, Mark III or Pentax 645N with Portra 400 film.
Here's to 2015.
