Elle and Ryan and I met up close to dusk at Rock Island State Park, just a few hours east of Nashville one Wednesday night at the beginning of August. There's something about these waterfalls that I love - we did our first Gathering workshop at these falls, I had done day trips here just to explore, but I hadn't ever photographed a real session here yet. And it didn't disappoint.

We showed up to the falls and I couldn't believe the crazy overgrown greens that were everywhere - we could barely walk through, and the photos above look like they're from somewhere wild like Costa Rica instead of middle Tennessee. Kind of hilarious, but the best kind. Elle and Ryan were up for walking through/climbing over/jumping over ferns, rocks, streams, whatever I asked them to do. We made some magic together.
