Kayla and Otto | Zion National Park
If I were ever to do a vow renewal or plan another wedding, I'd want it to look like this day - what Kayla and Otto planned for their intimate wedding in Zion this spring was everything I would want in my own wedding, if we did it again. Their original wedding plans were to elope in the Maldives (can you imagine) but Kayla found out she was pregnant just a few months ago, so they instead switched their destination wedding to be in Zion National Park, where she and Otto had met mid-road trip when Kayla moved out to California to continue their dating relationship, years ago. They brought in only their closest and dearest family and friends to surround them in a canyon where they said their vows, one sunny Saturday morning in May. We spent the day running around the park, photographing them together before they spent the evening back with their loved ones eating pizza by the pool. Bliss.
Zion was unlike anywhere I've ever been, and it hit my top five list within hours of being there. I want to go back and hope we can within the next few months, because I only saw the tiniest part of this incredible national park. If I could shoot all of my weddings in national parks, I would die happy. Thank you two so much for having me along.
