I remember getting Madilyn's first email  - you know when you meet someone and you know you could be really good friends? That's how I felt about Madilyn as soon as we started talking. I just knew it was the start of a beautiful thing.

She had such a clear vision for what she wanted her and Benj's North Carolina wedding to be, and their wedding was all the things they are together - strong and beautiful, honest and kind. I was beyond thrilled that I got to be the one who photographed their wedding in the Blue Ridge Mountains because I knew that every decision they made were intentional to make sure that every person they brought into their wedding day was on track with their vision.

And they did an incredible job, because every part of their wedding day was a dream. You can tell how much Benj and Madilyn love their families and cherish the people closest to them - it was reflected in every part of their wedding day. The things that stick out to me the most was the way Madilyn's mom looked at her as she put on her wedding dress, her girls praying for her before she walked down the aisle, the way Benj's parents teared up in their wedding ceremony and the way Benj couldn't stop beaming at her for the rest of the night after they said their wedding vows. That's why I love being a wedding photographer - I get to step into your world for a day and be part of your story.

I'm so thankful I got to be part of Benj and Madilyn's and I hope the images below make you feel like you were at their wedding in the mountains.
